Learn how to taste and describe honey through a guided tasting; moreover, discover a unique way to use honey in the kitchen by preparing a dressing recipe.
The new experience is online: wherever you are, without leaving your place, you can apply the sensorial analysis techniques to the honeys you have at home.
First, I will introduce you to the magical world of bees, the secrets of their social life and the way they gather honey, a unique food. You will have the opportunity to discover the world inside the hive, thanks to the support of a life-size didactic frame made of paper and wood, through which you will be in touch with the activities and products of the bees.
Then, we will move on to the tasting exercise: you will enjoy your own honey in a totally new way, so as to make tasting something personal.
By means of the sensory analysis techniques applied to honey, I will teach you how to pay attention to what we feel while tasting food. We will exercise our senses, by concentrating on colors, consistency, perfumes, and fragrances of honey. With the support of a technical vocabulary, you will be able to describe and share with others the characteristics of the honey.
Besides honey, you could apply the sensory analysis approach to food in general and transform a distracted daily gesture into a conscious experience.
Finally, with few ingredients, we will prepare together a special honey-based dressing that will perfectly match your dishes.
Although my experience takes place online, it also represents a journey into nature, in search of the flavors, colors and scents of a territory … mine is the beautiful Tuscany, but I would also like you to share your territory with me … Are we leaving?

The experience is on-Line, with the use of the app Zoom.
Before starting, just make sure you have: 1 to 3 different types of Honey, a few spoons, glasses for the honey (preferably transparent and not too big, e.g. 15 cl), pen and paper, water; for the recipe: lemon juice, salt, mustard, yogurt, olive oil, powdered sugar and cinnamon (I can suggest you something else to replace ingredients, if not available)
